Welcome to ciiew.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a platform for sharing reviews, ratings, and recommendations among friends and family. By accessing or using ciiew.com, including our website, mobile apps, or related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and ciiew.com, governed by the laws of Malaysia, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). For users in the European Union (EU), we also comply with applicable provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you are 13 or older and that any information you provide is accurate and truthful. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.

2. Your Account

To access certain features (e.g., posting reviews, connecting with friends), you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate information during registration (e.g., first name, last name, email).
Keep your password secure and confidential.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account via support@ciiew.com.
Be responsible for all activities under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that harm the Platform or its users.

3. Content You Share

The Platform allows you to post reviews, ratings, comments, recommendations, and images (collectively, “Content”). You agree to:

Ownership: You retain ownership of your Content, but you grant ciiew.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content on the Platform (e.g., showing your review on ciiew.com/reviews).
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your Content, including ensuring it complies with applicable laws (e.g., Malaysia’s Communications and Multimedia Act 1998) and does not infringe on third-party rights (e.g., copyrights, trademarks). ciiew.com is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of your Content.
Public Nature: Content you post (e.g., reviews, images) is publicly visible on the Platform unless otherwise specified. Do not share sensitive personal information.
Accuracy: Ensure your reviews and ratings are truthful, accurate, and based on your genuine experiences.

We do not actively monitor or moderate Content, but we reserve the right to take action, including account suspension or legal action, if Content violates these Terms or applicable laws.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
Attempt to access or scrape data without permission, including through automated means (e.g., bots, crawlers).
Violate intellectual property rights (e.g., posting copyrighted images without permission).
Engage in commercial activities (e.g., advertising) without our prior consent.
Impersonate others or create fake accounts.

ciiew.com does not actively monitor user activity or Content. However, violations of these Terms may result in account suspension or legal action at our discretion, particularly if required by law.

5. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, text, graphics, software, and all other content, is owned by ciiew.com or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Unless expressly authorized in writing by the owner of the Platform, ciiew.com, you may not use, reproduce, or exploit any material from the Platform. Specifically, you may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the Platform’s content, code, or any other material without prior written permission from ciiew.com.
Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without express written consent from ciiew.com.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Platform’s software.

You may use the Platform solely for personal, non-commercial purposes as permitted by these Terms.

6. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate third-party services (e.g., Facebook Login, Google Analytics). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

Uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ciiew.com is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data or profits.

You agree to indemnify and hold ciiew.com, its affiliates, and employees harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

Your Content or use of the Platform.
Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
Your infringement of third-party rights.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Updates will be posted at ciiew.com/terms, with the “Last Updated” date revised. Significant changes will be notified via support@ciiew.com or site notices at least 7 days in advance. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Malaysia. For EU users, you may also pursue remedies under GDPR through your local data protection authority.
